Square-Neck Alb

The sacred garment common to all ordained and instituted ministers of any rank is the alb (cf. GIRM 336). The alb may be worn by altar servers, choir members, readers, acolytes, extraordinary ministers of holy communion, deacons, priests, and bishops.

Generally, the alb size proper to you would equal your height in centimeters minus 30 cm (or your height in feet and inches minus 1 foot; in this case, convert the numbers to inches and multiply it by 2.54 to get your alb size).

*the numbers are the center back length of the alb, measured from neckline at the center back to bottom, in centimeters. To convert to inches, divide the numbers by 2.54.
